Cartridge seal assembly with pump
 
  • CHECK BEARING (OIL SEAL CONDITION OF PUMP. REPLACE IF REQUIRE FIT COUPLING AT THIS STAGE TO AVOID ANY HAMMERING AFTER SEAL ASSEMBLY.
  • CHECK SHAFT RUNOUT & AXIAL FLOAT. TAKE NECESSARY ACTION FOR  GETTING THEM WITHIN LIMITS IF REQUIRE.
  • CLEAN  BACK PLATE & COLLAR OF BACK PLATE COMPLETELY
  • CHECK CARTRIDGE FOR FITTMENT ON BACK PLATE AFTER REMOVAL OF STUDS.(CHECK ON COLLAR OF BACK PLATE)
  • CHECK SLEEVE ENTRY ON SHAFT AFTER REMOVAL OF SLEEVE ‘O RING. PLACE ‘O RING BACK IN GROOVE AFTER CHECKING.
  • ASSEMBLE COMPLETE CARTRIDGE WITH BACK PLATE. (TIGHTEN ALL 04 BOLTS PARALLELY TIGHTEN FULLY). ENSURE THAT GLAND PLATE GASKET IS PRESSED EVENLY.
  • ASSEMBLE BACK PLATE (WITH CARTRIDGE) WITH PUMP ADEPTOR.
  • ARRANGE FOR STUB SLEEVE IF REQUIRE & ASSEMBLE IMPELLER. TIGHTEN LOCK NUT OF IMPELLER.
  • IN CASE OF IMPELLER MOUNTED WITHOUT SLEEVE, ASSEMBLE IMPELLER WITH SHAFT TIGHTEN LOCK NUT OF IMPELLER COMPLETELY
  • TIGHTEN ALL GRUB SCREWS OF DRIVE COLLAR (TIGHTEN FULLY )
  • UP TO ABOVE STEPS ENSURE THAT SHAFT IS NOT ROTATED- OTHERWISE SLEEVE 'O RING WILL FAIL .
  • LOOSEN SLIDING WASHER BY ROTATING THEM AWAY FROM SLEEVE. TIGHTEN IN THAT POSITION TO ENSURE THAT, THEY WILL NOT TOUCH THE SLEEVE IN ROTATION.
  • ROTATE PUMP SHAFT BY COUPLING & ENSURE SMOOTH ROTATION.
  • ASSEMBLE CASING WITH CASING GASKET.


TAKE TRIAL
 

  • ENSURE THAT THE PUMP IS FULLY FLOODED BEFORE START UP. REMOVE ANY AIR LOCK BY VENTING.
  • CHECK PROPER DIRECTIONOF ROTATION BEFORE COUPLING.
